Work the container terminal: lift containers off the ship with the quay crane, move them with the container handler, put them on a trailer and drive them to the customer. Or the other way round: collect a container and load it onto the ship.
How it works
- Start at the terminal. Every shift is either an import or an export.
- Import: lift the container off the ship with the quay crane, pick it up with the container handler and put it on the trailer. Park the handler, take the truck, hook up the trailer and drive it to the customer.
- Export: collect the trailer with the container at the customer and uncouple it at the terminal. Park the truck, take the handler, bring the container to the quay and load it onto the ship with the crane.
- Bring the vehicle back and hand in your freight documents.
Tips
- Crane: W A S D moves it, and the container swings when you speed up or brake. Wait until it hangs still above the yellow marker, then press Space to lower it.
- You need the truck licence and the Port Equipment Certificate (theory exam, after the forklift certificate).
