Wear your belt
Press B. Without it you fly through the windscreen from 20 km/h and get 1.5× the injuries.
Wear your helmet
On a motorcycle or scooter press B. A helmet halves the injuries of a crash.
Mind the heavy stuff
Trucks and buses hit harder. On a bike or motorcycle you are the vulnerable one.
No self-healing
Health does not come back by itself. See the doctor.
The doctor
At an NPC with the Doctor role (eye) you get treated. The price depends on how hurt you are (at least $25) and is paid from your bank. You find the doctor at Pillbox Hill Medical Center.
The doctor also does plastic surgery: choose New look and you go back to the studio on the Maze Bank to change everything, from your parents to your shoes. It costs $100,000 from your bank, and you only pay when you save. Change your mind? Cancel brings you back to the doctor for free.
The dots are the real spots in the city. Drag to move, scroll or pinch to zoom, tap a dot for details. Switch between map, streets and satellite at the bottom left.
Death and the hospital
- You see a death screen with the cause, and a funny line about "the imaginary doctor" who is coming to get you.
- You stay down for 2 minutes. In that time the crew can revive you.
- Then you wake up in the nearest hospital (Pillbox Hill, Sandy Shores, Paleto Bay) and pay $75 hospital costs.
No violence
Players have no weapons and cannot punch. Only the crew carries weapons, for moderation.
On foot you can turn on passive mode with /passive: other players' vehicles cannot touch you (NPC traffic still can). There is a short wait between on and off, and it does not heal you.
